December, 1917	Establishment of Shoin Girls' High School is approved.
April, 1918	The first entrance ceremony for the regular course and the special course of Shoin Girls' High School are inaugurated.
April, 1922	The first entrance ceremony for the high educational courses is inaugurated.
April, 1926	The first entrance ceremony of Shoin Women’s College is inaugurated
April, 1947	A new educational institution of Shoin Junior High School is established under the Educational System Reform Convention.
April, 1948	Shoin Girls' High School is replaced by Shoin Senior High School along with the Educational System Reform Convention.
February, 1949	Foundation of Shoin Girls' High School is renamed Foundation of Shoin Gakuen (Educational Foundation) .
April, 1949	Osaka Shoin Women’s University, Faculty of Liberal Arts is established.
March, 1951	Foundation of Shoin Gakuen (Educational Foundation) is reconstructed into the Incorporated Educational Institution of Shoin Gakuen Educational Foundation.
May, 1951	Kindergarten attached to Osaka Shoin Women’s University is established and its entrance ceremony is inaugurated.
June, 1960	After the passing of Mr. Heizo Mori, the first Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Shoin Educational Foundation, Councilor Mr. Shigeo Mori takes the place of the Second Chairperson of the Board of Directors and a director of the board.
October, 1961	Councilor, Mr. Akio Mori takes the place of the Third Chairperson of the Board of Directors and a director of the board.
April, 1987	Shoin Junior College is established.
April, 1991	Shoin Junior College establishes the Department of Human Relations.
May, 1999	Mr. Shintaro Mori, a director of the board, takes the place of the Fourth Chairperson.
April, 2001	Department of Japanese Cultural History in the Faculty of Liberal Arts, and Faculty of Human Science are established in the Undergraduate School. Shoin Junior College is renamed Osaka Shoin Women’s University Junior College Division.
April, 2002	The Department of Food Science of the Undergraduate School is renamed the Department of Food Science and Nutrition.
April, 2004	Osaka Shoin Women’s University establishes Division in Clinical Psychology in Graduate school of Human Sciences and Department of Interior and Environmental Design in the Faculty of Liberal Arts.
April, 2005	Division in Human Dietetics in Graduate school of Human Sciences is established. Department of Human Sociology in the Faculty of Human Science is established.
April, 2007	Department of Life Planning is established in the Faculty of Liberal Arts. The Faculty of Liberal Arts starts special programs and the enrollment numbers change. The Department of Child Sciences in the Faculty of Human Science starts the elementary school teacher license course.
June, 2007	Seiko Tanabe Museum opens in the university library building.
April, 2009	The Faculty of Human Science is reorganized into the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Child Sciences. The Department of Human Relations in the Osaka Shoin Women's University Junior College is renamed the Department of Career Design.
April, 2010	The Department of English and American Literature in the Faculty of Liberal Arts is reorganized into the Department of English as an International Language. The Department of Food Science and Nutrition in the Faculty of Liberal Arts is renamed the Department of Health and Nutrition.
April, 2012	Osaka Shoin Women’s Junior College Division Career Design Department is discontinued.
April, 2013	The Department of Developmental Education Psychology in the Faculty of Psychology changes its name to the Department of Psychology. The Business Psychology Department in the Faculty of Psychology is discontinued. The Department of Interior and Environmental Design in the Faculty of Liberal Arts is discontinued.
September, 2014	University Gymnasium, Student Support Building Seishikan, Symbol Tower Building Syoukukan Construction Completed.
April, 2015	The Health and Nutrition Department is dissolved for reorganization (formerly in the Faculty of Liberal Arts). The Faculty of Health and Nutrition is established. The faculty of Psychology is dissolved for reorganization. The Department of Psychology is established in the Faculty of Liberal Arts. The Campus amalgamation completed.
April, 2016	The Department of Fashion and Beauty Sciences in the Faculty of Liberal Arts changes its name to the Department of Beauty and Fashion Studies.
April, 2018	The Faculty of Child Sciences changes its name to the Faculty of Childhood Education. The Department of Child Sciences changes its name to the Department of Childhood Education.
